Famitsu Sales: 11/4/19 – 11/10/19 [Update]
Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of November 4, 2019 to November 10, 2019.
Death Stranding for PlayStation 4 was the best selling new release of the week, opening at 185,909 retail sales. For comparison, Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima’s last game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launched in Japan at 293,652 retail sales on PlayStation 4 and 117,547 sales on PlayStation 3 for a total of 411,199 opening sales.
Also new last week, Need for Speed: Heat for PlayStation 4 opened at 16,306 retail sales. The last Need for Speed game, Need for Speed: Payback launched in Japan at 20,964 retail sales on PlayStation 4.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 88,772 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 15,810 units, and the 3DS family sold 1,774 units.
